American Guild of Organists
The Cleveland Chapter of the American Guild of Organists will present internationally acclaimed organist Daryl Robinson in recital on Friday evening, January 28th at 7:00. Apollo's Fire has rescheuled it program called Lift Every Voice: A Celebration of Brotherhood and Sisterhood. That program will now take place August 3rd through 7th. Apollo's Fire does expect to perform Handel's oratorio Israel in Egypt as schedule, on Thursday through Sunday evenings, February 17th through 20th, four different locations.
City Music Cleveland
There'll be two performances of City Music Cleveland's next concert set, called Tales and Scenes, will feature the Pantheon Ensemble in music ranging from Bach to Ravel, Turina, Falla and Elena Ruehr. The concerts take place on Friday and Saturday, January 21 and 22
Cleveland Cello Society
The Cleveland Cello Society will present a live-streamed virtual recital by winners of its 2021 scholarship competition. Seven performers from the elementary, junior, senior and collegiate divisions will be heard in the concert Sunday afternoon, January 23rd, at 3:00 from the Bop Stop.
Cleveland Chamber Music Society
The Cleveland Chamber Music Society's next concert will bring the Danish String Quartet to Plymouth Church in Shaker Heights on Tuesday evening, January 25th. The program will include Three Divertimenti by Benjamin Britten and Schubert's String Quartet in d, known as Death and the Maiden.
The January - February schedule for Cleveland Cinemateque will feature eight film noir classics ranging from John Huston, Fritz Lang, and Max Ophuls to Otto Preminger. Also showing will be 14 new movies in their exclusive Cleveland premieres, including several "best of 2021" films.
The Cleveland Orchestra will perform the world premiere of Bernd Richard Deutsch's Intensity under Music Director Franz Welser-Moest. The Thursday, Friday and Saturday concerts January 13th, 14th and 15th will also include Mozart's Symphony No. 36 and Dvorak's Symphony No. 8. The Orchestra has also announced that it will postpone its Martin Luther King Junior Celebration Concert and Community day, scheduled for January 16th and 17th, until June 4th. In lieu of the live concert, the Orchestra is makiing available a full stream of the 2018 concert . It will be available on the adella app from January 17th through February28th. Great Lakes Theater Festival
Great Lakes Theater Festival has announced that, in view of the problems presented by the continuing Coronavirus surge, it will cancel its scheduled performances of the musical Ain't Misbehavin'. They will produce the remainder of the season, including Much Ado About Nothing in March as well as Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps in May.
Lakeland Community College Civic Theater
Lakeland Community College Civic Theater will stage Stephen Sondheim's Assasins February 4th through 20th. There will be post-play discussions with a retired senior secret service agent as well.

Ohio Light Opera
Ohio Light Opera has announced its plans for the summer at the College of Wooster. The box office will open to the public on Wednesday, January 19th. The season begins June 22nd and continues through July 31st. There'll be six shows in all, including the Rodgers and Hammerstein version of Cinderella, Hello Dolly, The Student Prince, Pirates of Penzance and The Mock Marriage. Those five shows will be performed indoors, while the Fantasticks will be staged outdoors. . 330-263-2345
